It is a traditional steam bath, used for medicinal detoxification purposes by sweating, using an infusion of herbs, which is poured onto hot stones to generate steam.

The temazcal we offer is both therapeutic and ritualistic. We begin with a welcome and explanation. Then smoking incense (copal) is passed over each person, followed by request for permission to the four paths, and finally the temazcal ceremony itself. We have a professional therapist who will guide you through the ceremony.
